SARA OSSANA - Founder

Sara became deeply committed to transforming the Assisted Living experience after she was faced with the immense responsibility of making Assisted Living choices for her loved ones and serving as the primary caretaker and palliative care/hospice decision-maker for her father at the end of his life last Summer.

Sara is a Founding Partner and former co-owner of boutique furniture company O&G Studio, a business she built from the ground up and over a 10 year period grew the business from 2 to 20 employees, doubling revenue year over year resulting in a multi-million dollar sales portfolio.

A multidisciplinary designer and educator, Sara employs the use of narrative in her design approach and seeks solutions that recognize human life and the human experience as a continuum, a fitting philosophy as she leads Studio MO in responding to the changing needs that come with aging.

SARAH KIRK - Process Architect

Sarah’s interest in Assisted Living stems from her experiences in the rural Midwest as the daughter of parents who’ve been perpetual caretakers and decision-makers for aging family members including grandparents and extended family members.

Her study and work in the areas of product design, inclusive design and accessible tourism are extensions of a lifelong interest in how humans choose to live together.

An accomplished designer, product management and process improvement consultant and former member of the executive leadership team at fast-growing home goods brand Schoolhouse Electric, Sarah’s job at Studio MO is to build a structure of approachability, clarity, trust and action as the studio explores complex problems and their solutions.
